from a distant shore 8:09
It was part story, part mystery. And, it happened sometime during World War II just off Pemaquid Point. Two British fighters collided in midair sending both pilots crashing to the ocean below. There were no survivors. End of story. Or was it?
the climb: lessons from katahdin 25:37
The one story closest to my heart The Climb: Lessons from Katahdin where I put my Parkinson’s on hold to help my sister-in-law accomplish her life-changing dream of hiking Mount Katahdin. Little did she know that the mountain was preparing her for the biggest challenge of her life.

BLINK (parkinson’s diagnosis) - 4:00
It didn't take too long growing up to know my least favorite thing to do was blink. I'd blink and Christmas was over. I'd blink again and I was another year older. Now years later as I face the challenges that come with every day, may I look for the good in all things and not blink my life away.
Pemaquid Mill: down Memory lane 4:57
Actually this video was initially about my Parkinson’s Disease. However, one day as I walked past the old mill the closed forever sign loomed big on the door of Hammond Lumber. I was filled with sadness as it all started to sink in of what our town was in danger of losing. It helped bring awareness to the situation. And of course the bottom line, it is not all about me! 1 of 3 videos dedicated to the Mill.
Pemaquid mill: An old friend 4:54
My second short film sounding an alarm to the community. The history of the old mill stepped out of the shadows and into the daylight. It was in for the fight of its life. During this time we lost Carly Poole whose family preserved the mill all those years. My heart went out to them as my problems didn’t seem so big anymore.

BACKROADS WITH BAXTER 4:45
Taking afternoon rides with Dad and my dog Baxter was such a treat. I am so glad I remembered my camera on this day. Baxter laid on his lap while dad opened up about his crossing the North Atlantic and one of the saddest events of his life.
My Aunt Thereas 29:15
The wonderful sounds of my Uncle Walter’s belly laugh and my Aunt Thereas signature snorts highlight their story. They are the reason I do his.
the invasion: JFK summer White house? 3:25
It was August 1962 and I was barely out of diapers. I don't remember idling out of the harbor amidst a swarm of other boats or seeing the masses lined along the wall at Fort William Henry. Everyone seemed to have one purpose: to catch a glimpse of JFK. I couldn’t be bothered. It was my naptime!
Marie Lane - New harbor 46:07
My Aunt Marie, wife of my Uncle Junior, always had great stories and I was thankful for her daughter, Brenda, to bring them out of her. Such a wonderful time.

Old Town Pedal Kayak & parkinsons - 5:09
My buddy, Scott, stopped by last night and reminded me how much fun these pedal kayaks are from Old Town Canoe. What surprised me was how stable it was. Living with Parkinson's I thought my days on the water were over. Scott is so right when he says, "This thing is so frigging neat. What a piece of engineering!"
Scarecrow meets the tinman 5:21
No wonder kids and dogs give me odd looks. This is not easy for me to watch. The scarecrow meets the tinman in a Parkinson’s dance where only one thing can be in control at one time. Dyskinesia or Rigidity. Just a little taste of freedom that DBS brings, gives us hope on the horizon.

Arthur Poland - huddle road 52:39
Living in Maine you always have a few characters around town and if you are fortunate some of them will be good storytellers. I just had to get Arthur started and he was off and running. All I had to do was sit back and enjoy..

SANDRA LANE - BRISTOL MAINE 5 :30
It is not often you get asked to speak to a graduating class of a school you once attended. It is even rarer if you are a long-time bus driver who has moved on to drive for another town. Come to think of it, my mother is a pretty rare bird.
BETHIAH STEER CALLAHAN 32:26

DEEP WATERS 1 hr 24 min
Deep Waters is a 1948 American drama film directed by Henry King and starring Dana Andrews, Jean Peters and Cesar Romero. I love this movie. I remember staying home from school and there was like a nine o’clock movie on channel eight. I think it was filmed out on Vinalhaven with real lobster boats like dad and my uncles had. Pretty cool back in the day.
The Seventh Day (SILENT FILM, 1921) 1:05:04
A great film also directed by Henry King. Starts out in a NYC speakeasy during prohibition. They want more to drink so they hop on their yacht and end up in Pemaquid / New Harbor. Great views of our town in the 1920’s.
